The Libertarian Party WA stands for a simple principle: individuals should be free to live their lives as they choose, so long as they do not harm others. We believe that free people, making voluntary choices, build stronger communities and a more prosperous society than any system built on control and coercion. Liberty, responsibility, and personal choice are the foundations of a flourishing society.

We reject the growing belief that government should manage every aspect of life. History shows that excessive regulation, taxation, and bureaucracy undermine initiative, discourage productivity, and erode personal freedom. The Libertarian Party believes individuals — not politicians or bureaucrats — are best placed to make decisions about their own lives, their work, their families, and their property.

Government does have a legitimate role, particularly in protecting individual rights through the rule of law and providing for national defence. But beyond these essential functions, its power should be limited. Our goal is a freer Western Australia and a freer Australia — one with lower taxes, fewer unnecessary regulations, and greater respect for individual responsibility and voluntary cooperation.
